ARTIST: JOSH WHITE TITLE: STRANGE FRUIT

LABEL: MERCURY / #: MG 25014 (MONO) YEAR: UNDATED (@ 1950'S). TYPE: 10" LP, SPEED: 33rpm.
CONDITION; (USING RECORD COLLECTOR GUIDELINES AS ADAPTED BY VINYLSHRINE)
VINYL: MINT - ; (Very little play) SLEEVE: EXCELLENT; LABELS; EXCELLENT +; OTHER;
NOTES: This 10" LP is in pristine condition with it's original sleeve. Tracks include "House of The Rising Sun" which was re-arranged by the Animals and stayed at No. 1 for 10 weeks. The group listed it as 'traditional' and Alan Price received royalties for the arrangement. Leadbelly had previously released a song with the same lyrics much earlier, but it was simply called 'New Orleans'. I doubt whether Josh White got much credit for bringing the song to public attention, but this LP contains his version with the same lyrics that the Animals used.
All records are cleaned with anti-static fluid, played and graded according to RRPG guidelines before listing. I do not sell any that are in poor condition so you can rest assured you are buying a quality used record. This is a personal service, so please contact me if you have any questions.
