Description
Vintage 1960 advertising transcription/recording of "Chevrolet Presents the Ray Charles Singers in a Musical Salute to 1960" Words and Music written for Chevrolet with special arrangements by Ray Charles. Designed for use in the showroom, side one, track one is "Great Day in the Morning," a bouncy celebration of suburban living in mid-century USA. Track 2 promotes the newest addition to the Chevy lineup, the "Corvair!" with its engine in the rear, much to the horror of Ralph Nader. Side 2, track one is entitled "Any Old Time of Day" promotes the joy of owning a station wagon -- the CUV of the 1960s -- and is followed by the paean to Chevy trucks: "We Ain't Felt So Good in Years." Side 2 has a small scratch across track 2, put it plays through. Record is 10" in diameter, black vinylite and plays at 33 1/3 rpm. Generic cover.
