Description

VERY RARE Japan Victor Recording of German Lieder by Gerhard Husch. Highly sought after in Japan This record was only issued in Japan and not distributed elsewhere. The recording and cover are both EXCELLENT. Vinyl is quiet with just a few ticks and pops. No noticeable flaws. Record should be cleaned thoroughly before playing to preserve its performance. Comes with original obi as shown in photos.
Recorded for an NHK TV broadcast in 1962 when Husch was residing in Japan. Gerhard Husch was a pre-eminent German Baritone in his prime (born in 1901). He spent most of his later years teaching, including in the US.
