ARTIST & TITLE : Johnnie Pate At The Blue Note


LABEL : Stepheny#MF-4005 with groove in the label


CONDITION : The record is shiny NM on side one. Side two is EX or better with some discolorations and spots that may wipe away with proper cleaning. The jacket is nice VG++ or better with only light wear, some yellowing on the back and the starting of a minor seam split at the bottom right, otherwise colorful and free of writing


COMMENTS : Rare original issue LP on a small Chicago label. Early effort by the great producer/arranger/musician Johnnie/Johnny Pate. His influence is still felt today. He was a pioneering funk & soul arranger and has worked for numerous labels and appears in the credits on a large number of release's in the R&B soul and jazz catergories.
