Description

Extremely Rare - Kingsmen Quartet. Kingsmen Klassics: Ernie And The Men Of Music; Kingsmen Singing Bluegrass Pickin'; America's Favorite Hymns Vol. II; and Kingsmen Sing Songs By Squire Parsons. This is a rare Four-Album Box Set. This would probably have been released between 1977 and 1979 by Heavy Weight Records (HWR produced records for the Kingsmen and Gold City).

Record I: Songs By Squire Parsons features Ernie Phillips, Jim Hamill, Squire Parsons, and Ray Dean Reece. See sleeve detail for list of songs. Produced and arranged by Jim Hamill.

Record III: Ernie And The Men Of Music is a semi-solo project by Ernie Phillips (Side A) and an instrumental by the Kingsmen band (Side B) which features a young Anthony Burger, younger Greg Fox, and Gary Dillard. See sleeve detail for list of songs. Produced and arranged by Anthony Burger.

Record IV: America's Favorite Hymns Vol II features Ernie Phillips, Jim Hamill, Squire Parsons, and Ray Dean Reece. See sleeve detail for list of songs. Produced and arranged by Jim Hamill.

This Kingsmen Klassics Box Set was a tremendous way to introduce Ernie (1977), Greg (1977), and Anthony (1978) to the Southern Gospel listening audience and the numerous friends of this legendary quartet. No one could have guessed the many years of friendships and heartaches that this collection of albums would represent. This is truly a piece of Southern Gospel history and a treasure for any Kingsmen fan.

Condition is Used. Vinyl is in very good condition. Unfortunately the box strength of many of these sets didn't hold up as is the case with this box. The artwork remains intact however the edges are all split. It could be repaired if the buyer chooses. Shipped with USPS Media Mail.
