VERY RARE! SUPERB condition vinyl LP!!! Original 1st Mono Analogue pressing of the Kinks "FACE TO FACE" on the green, pink and gold Reprise label (6228). Absolutely essential album that influenced many generations of songwriters with Ray davies' wry wit and humor, and brother Dave Davies' sword-sharp guitar leads. The self-loathing and deprecating "Sunny Afternoon" is matched by the lonesome desperation of "Party Line" and "Rosy Won't You Please Come Home" and the world-weary "Too Much On My Mind."
The glorious Mono sound is superior--suitably perfect for a band like the Kinks whose rhythm section remains among the very finest in all of rock history. Pulverizing clarity! Pounding, heart-thumping bass, drums, and rhythm guitar work. Trust me, this original Mono Analogue pressing trumps any of the latter day Audiophile recordings produced by giants like Mobile Fidelity Sound Labs (MFSL).

The cover is STRONG VG++ and fully intact. Just some scattered age spots on the back that are unobtrusive.
