Description: Up for your consideration is the next in a series of unique Lps, this one featuring the Beatles.  Beatles experts, please feel free to send questions and offers to help complete and provide as much relevant info as I can for this listing.

A few unique things about this item:
Firstly, these records retains the original shine with a fair number of very light marks plus some light marks  grading by sight in normal room light.  I'm sure if you took these and put them under a 1000 watt bulb, you'd probably find something that makes them less than mint.  If you're that kind of collector, let me suggest this auction is not for you.

I don't claim these records are mint.  6/29/19: I took the time to play both records and found the 30 tracks to audibly average about 3/4 of the way between VG and VG+ with a fair amount of very light surface noise and very light to light pops, a few scattered heavy pops.  It's got some character, not mint by any means.  You can assign your own grade based on my comments on what I heard and the GRADING SCALE BELOW!.     

Keep in mind how it plays for me may differ than how it plays for you based on differences in audio equipment. 

Secondly, the item came with 3 out of 4 photos, missing the McCartney photo.  I did have a McCartney photo from another White Album (it was missing the Lennon photo), so I am going to include the McCartney photo with this auction to complete the set.  This item also came with a blank sheet with the photos.

Thirdly, there is a written name on the inside of this gatefold cover (it opens up), the signature is "Eddie Anderson."  When I saw that, something clicked in my memory, and it came to me this used to be the Iowa Hawkeyes football coach during the stellar Ironmen period back in the late 1930's when Nile Kinnick won the Heisman Trophy.  I tried to find a signature of this person to see if I could match it up with the White Album name to no avail.  I'm not a handwriting expert.  I'm going to leave this research up to you.  One might think, "Well, there are lots of people named Eddie Anderson."  That's true.  But the thing that lends some validity to this name is that I'm in Iowa City, Iowa, and that's where the Iowa Hawkeyes are.  Also, the fellow I purchased this from collected records in the 1960s when Eddie Anderson was still alive.  

As of 8/25/2019, I did have a local Hawkeye collector look at this signature.  He compared it to a 1939 signature of Eddie Anderson and felt this was probably NOT the same fellow.  Take that for what it's worth.

Hi, contrary to the "Mfd. in U.K." label print, this one was pressed in India. The perimeter pressing mark is characteristic of all Indian Beatles LPs up through the early 1970s. This means that the discs are mated with the correct sleeve. From what I can tell, several hundred copies were pressed with "Mfd. In U.K." on the labels before the error was spotted and corrected. My copy has sleeve A 0001256, and one disc with "Mfd. in U.K." label print and one disc with "Made in India" label print. End;

I am using the Goldmine scale of G=Good(1), VG = Very Good(2), VG+ = Very Good Plus(excellent)(3), NM = Near Mint(4) when grading the disc(s).

Additional criteria I use when audibly grading records for people:

• NM(4) = absolutely nothing wrong at all (very rarely happens--I've even opened sealed records and they don't play Near Mint)
• 3.5-3.9 = very, very light surface noise
• 3.1-3.4 = very light surface noise, very light pops
• VG+(3) = up to light pops and light surface noise (below this, one's enjoyment is affected, very subjective)
• VG(2) = up to medium pops and moderate surface noise
• G(1) = up to heavy pops and heavy surface noise

I normally ship a single record in a standard 12.5 x 12.5 x 1 record mailer.  Weight with box is 1 pound 12 ounces. Shipping is $3.33 Media Rate (1-2 pounds) + $1.20 box/tape/pack = $4.53.
Alternatively, I can ship in a  14 x 14 x 6" box. Weight with box is about 2 pound 4 oz. Shipping is $3.86 Media Rate (2-3 pounds) + $1.70 box/tape/packing handling = $5.56.
