A Rare Album from Blue Horizon and a brilliant one too, "The Excello Story". An stunning compilation of great recordings made by some of Excello's outstanding Blues and R & B artists
It's one of the best compilations I've ever heard and the bonus is , it's a Double Album. I'm really excited about this one and must confess,I had to play every track to grade, it's that good. The Album kicks off with a blinder from Lightning Slim, slow blues item, which has a fantastic beat to it. Never knew you could tap your feet slowly!
In fact nearly all the tracks have a great beat, whether they are blues or R & B and the lesser known artists are outstanding, Little Al, Blue Charlie, Shy Guy Douglas,Lillian Offitt (what a beat to her recording of "Miss You So.", to name a few.
Both records are in Near Mint. Cond. Sleeve is in EX Cond. little sticker on rignt side of front corner. No doubt you're all aware, that most Albums on this label are highly sought after and this is one of them. Very tempted to keep this one,specially with a favourite Doo Wop of mine which I had on a 78, The Gladiolas item, but it's gotta go so hope it finds a good home.
