Description
"The Light Crust Doughboys" - Audio Lab AL-1525. Original blue and silver deep groove label mono LP pressing in excellent VG++/VG+ condition. With a few very light surface scuffs, otherwise clean. On side two there are a couple areas of very light needle scratch on the first two tracks sounding as very faint clicks. Plays excellent. Sides originally released on the King label, recorded in Dallas, TX, September 1947 with Mel Cox, Lefty Perkins, Hal Harris, Marvin Montgomery, Redd Kidwell, Carroll Hubbard, and Charles Godwin. Titles: Guitar Jump, The New Sow Song, Starlight Waltz, Pappy's Banjo Boogie, Honolulu Lou, I Cried And Cried And Cried, Fisherman's Polka, No Suhi, Oklahoma Waltz, Billy Goat Rag, Ezra's Waltz, and It's A Dirty Shame. Cover is VG+ light wear overall. Top seam is scotch taped, bottom seam split 2 1/2" from opening edge. Original owner had marked the track numbers in small red ink pen marks by titles on cover.
