First issued in the U.K. by EMI in 1980 (through World Records Limited), this pristine Japanese edition was released the following year.  Includes 124 Beatles recordings, as follows: (1) All of the A-sides from their British singles; (2) Most of the B-sides; (3) The best and most representative of their LP tracks; (4) Extended play (EP) tracks not originally released on LPs or singles; and (5) a number of rare foreign mixes.  The songs are spread over 8 LPs with specially designed record sleeves containing extensive liner notes by Hugh Marshall.  All songs sourced from the original analog masters, exactly as heard back in the 1960's.

The outer box is in EXCELLENT condition, with some minor shelf wear mostly limited to the bottom edge corners.  All 8 records and record sleeves are in beautiful MINT condition.  Includes original rice paper inner sleeves.

Also includes an album-sized booklet of liner notes written in Japanese….and a booklet of lyrics in both Japanese and English.  Both booklets are in MINT condition. 

A treasure trove of the Beatles’ EMI recordings from 1962 to 1970.  The kind of collectible box set they don’t make anymore.
