Please keep in mind, we would prefer to continue to provide you the opportunity to acquire the rare music we present each and every week. Payment is required within seven days. We mail all paid items ONE WEEK after auctions end. Our listings are time consuming in detail and we are often traveling to find these gems, which at times delays the delivery schedule by a day or two. We ALWAYS process and ship every paid order. We have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office. Overseas mail to some countries (Italy, Russia, France, in particular) has become very slow. Opening a dispute for slow mail is unacceptable. We work hard to provide excellent service as is represented by our well over +22,000 positive feedback. We use an ultrasonic KLAudio machine and thoroughly clean all records. Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of 3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers for safe delivery. We take Customer Service seriously, and want you to be satisfied. Twice As Much had a British chart hit with the obscure Rolling Stones song "Stitting On A Fence" (*FLOWERS* LP 1966)
TWICE AS MUCH's first album is very typical of producer Andrew Oldham's ornate, sometimes over-the-top production. The LP was evenly divided between 'Twice As Much' originals and their unique recordings of tunes by the Beatles, the Rolling Stones, and the Small Faces.
There was also the Spector-Goffin-King composition "Is This What I Get for Loving You Baby?" and "I Have a Love," both of which, coincidentally or not, were done in the mid-'60s by another one-time Oldham client, Marianne Faithfull.
TWICE AS MUCH were David Skinner and Andrew Rose, and they were pleasant, harmony singers, and played out their introverted pop-rock tunes joining a grand production with heavy styles to the mid-'60s Beach Boys and California Sunshine Pop-rock.
"Life Is But Nothing" would be recorded to good effect by Del Shannon on another Oldham production, and "Why Can't They All Go and Leave Me Alone?," in which the introversion slides into the profound philosophical theory suggested that the human mind cannot be certain of the existence of anything beyond itself, and so notability exercising is in crashing, epic symphonic pop/rock. Clever takes on (Beatles) "Help !" and (Small Faces) "Sha La La La La Lee" are suitable for royalty. The album features a true all-star supporting cast including guitarists Jimmy Page, John McLaughlin, Joe Moretti (known for guitar on loads of UK Invasion classics), and Big Jim Sullivan; drummer Andy White; keyboardists Nicky Hopkins and Art Greenslade (the latter of whom did the arrangements), and engineer Glyn Johns. This is a classic British '66 pop-rock album filled with lost UK 'sunshine pop-rock' charm of the sixties era. Gotten most difficult to find this century, wasn't released in USA nor much elsewhere.
