Description
Keith Meehan - Darkness Of My Life/ Hooker St., Marmalade 598016 1969. Rare 45 on Marmalade from the Meehan brothers, each recording one side, the a-side from Keith has a great psych last 1/3 with a long wailing guitar solo, and the b-side - written as well as arranged, conducted and produced - by Tony is a great mod psych instrumental that starts out with a slow beat with glockenspiele accompaniment for the 1st 1/2 and then gets into a heavy psych guitar with organ backing. Visually this looks close to being a top copy aside from the mark across the a-side and the few scuffs, this still has a nice clean shine and isn't coated in hairline play marks. Yet both sides have a crackle on the quiet lead in intros and quieter parts, a few pops on two quiet sections of the a-side from the aforementioned bad mark, and a light crackle throughout the quiet first half of the b-side which sadly contradicts the visual grade, but is also complete with a crisp original Marmalade company sleeve. Happy to combine postage at cost, usually at no extra expense in the UK.
