Here is what the label had to say about this release:

Death Waltz Recording Company is delighted to bring you another first! A double bill of classic Italian poliziotteschi from director Umberto Lenzi and composer Franco Micalizzi.

ROMA A MANO ARMATA (aka ROME ARMED TO THE TEETH) & IL CINICO, L’INFAME, IL VIOLENTO (aka THE CYNIC, THE RAT AND THE FIST) are presented for the first time ever on vinyl. Micalizzi soundtracks these violent cop thrillers with an incredible one-two punch that filters David Shire's THE TAKING OF PELHAM ONE TWO THREE score through the crazed Italian house style that is rightly obsessed over by soundtrack fans worldwide. Micalizzi's scores both feature a gripping main theme, which is the magnificent musical backbone that binds the pieces together, sounding both like a classic seventies slice of crime drama and the beginning of a thousand hip-hop samples. Effortlessly cool, Micalizzi dominates with a fat trumpet line that branches off into fragments with some incredibly funky breaks, Herrmannesque tense strings, and the most infectious basslines since “Dazed and Confused”. It's just absolutely badass – up there with the best of Cipriani, Umiliani, and yes, Morricone. Essential.
