Description
Here is a MEGA RARE psych album from my collection offered up for sale: Ultimate Spinach's debut 1st album "Ultimate Spinach", was released in 1968 by MGM SE 4518, this is a rare MONO promotional pressing. This album features Ian Bruce Douglass' cool psych music critically acclaimed and straight from "The Summer Of Love" on the east coast! This RARE pressing has yellow DJ labels with the heavy vinyl and 1960 style MGM logo. By 1968, they were not making many mono pressings and this album was not reproduced in mono, cover has a "MONO" sticker over the Stereo print, promo stamped inside and out.
The record rates EX/VG+, is super clean and glossy, one side has only a few faint sleeve marks and the other has some light marks, nothing heavy, has been PLAY TESTED. Plays from start to finish with excellent sound quality, clear sound, minimal surface noise, a few light pops, no skips or jumps, a VERY enjoyable listen! One table has a sticker shadow. The "top load" style gatefold cover rates EX, artwork has bright/deep colors with no ring wear, edges and corners show minimal wear but top opening had partial split neatly re-glued, no tape, no signatures but has tiny pen writing (barely noticeable), binder edge readable, has a few small light spot stains (barely noticeable), has been well cared for!
