One-owner (me aside) copy of the rare 1971 UK Mother LP by MOONKYTE, ‘Count Me Out’, SMOT 1, A-1/B-1 Matrix Suffixes, a UK FIRST PRESSING, with original die-cut sleeve and lyric inner.
Original die-cut matt sleeve has light edge creases and edge and corner wear, with a sticker tear on the front, top right corner, and on the back, in the middle. Also some light creasing on the back, and general handling and storage rubbing. There is a small tear at the bottom of the tower illustration on the die-cut edge on the front. It retains its lovely bright colour, and is still structurally very sound. Overall grade for sleeve is VG. Inner has no seam splits, but there is some edge browning and an obvious corner crease.
Vinyl is flat, no warp, and plays very strongly indeed, lovely, clear stereo audio. There is some spindle wear, which is evidence of playing, and there are light hairlines on both sides, mostly towards the end of each side, with a few more obvious lines, and there is a little light surface noise, but these lines appear not to affect audio too much, with the occasional light click. Side 2, band 1 has a small mark which causes a few light clicks, barely audible above the string audio, and band 4 has a small ‘spot’ towards the end which causes clicks on 12 rotations. This is obviously a quality pressing as, despite its visual shortcomings, the vinyl plays extremely strongly! Visually, the vinyl grades VG, but audio certainly grades EX.
