Description
.PLEASE READ BEFORE BIDDING: Please read the entire auction listing, including shipping costs, before writing to ask a question. OUR GOAL IS CUSTOMER SATISFACTION. In order to meet that goal, we will ALWAYS work with our customers on any concerns that may arise. Because of that dedication, there should be no need to open a resolution dispute before working with us. Please keep in mind, we would prefer to continue to provide you the opportunity to acquire the rare music we present each and every week. Payment is required within seven days. We mail all paid items ONE WEEK after auctions end. Our listings are time consuming in detail and we are often traveling to find these gems, which at times delays the delivery schedule by a day or two. We ALWAYS process and ship every paid order. We have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office. Overseas mail to some countries (Italy, Russia, France, in particular) has become very slow. Opening a dispute for slow mail is unacceptable. We work hard to provide excellent service as is represented by our well over +22,000 positive feedback. We use an ultrasonic KLAudio machine and thoroughly clean all records. Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of 3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers for safe delivery. We take Customer Service seriously, and want you to be satisfied. Please give us 5 stars in each category through the feedback system, and we will be able to effectively continue to fulfill your passion for rare and collectible music! We have served thousands of satisfied customers - far more than our feedback records indicate - and our aim is to continue to do so.

Even Frank Z relied on the court system when demanding action his creative work was produced without his consent. Such was the case when Zappa & 'Mothers' were touring in Germany 1970 to find their then latest LP release "Weasels Ripped My Flesh" had just been released with totally different artwork replacing the original image he had issued. Quite upset at nerve of German Reprise in not having contacted him to the artwork change (noted: "he was pissed") - he went straight to the record company demanding the alternative cover art be immediately stopped otherwise he would seek court injunction in lawsuit for artist damages. A few hundred copies of the "Mouse Trap" cover did get released to various stores, yet 52 years onward is quite scarce and little-seen even in Germany. In all many years of vinyl hunting travels we managed to only find 2 or 3 copies and this near M- was the best.
- THE MOTHERS OF INVENTION
- " WEASELS RIPPED MY FLESH "
MINTY CLEAN = GERMAN REPRISE 1970 ORIGINAL with the banned "Mouse Trap" art cover.
The LP contains freaked-out psych effect collage highlights which include; "My Guitar Wants To Kill Your Mama" and one of the best Zappa melodies "OH NO (I Don't Believe It)" which was also covered by the ever-greatness of "Fraternity Of Man"
- Zappa was too prolific for anyone to really like everything he ever did, but this one really sticks out for many as "the One". Describing Zappa with avant garde and jazz credentials who worked with Captain Beefheart, and this is what you'd expect. Describe him as any of the gazillion other things he's been, and you'd get something else.
"Weasels Flesh" pisses around with flipped-out and clashing time signatures and freakier effects and collages of reeds blowing their brains out. It is joyfully dissonant and rarely slick or knowingly ironic, and should in that respect appeal to those put off by Zappa's occasionally sarcastic voice. There are no long apostrophes to some audience somewhere to throw their pantieeees either, and again, for this we can be truly thankful.
This is by no means the perfect or best Zappa album, but it's continually interesting in a way that others quite often cease to be after a listen or three.
