***EXTREMELY RARE***
I SPOKE DIRECTLY WITH FRANKIE FORD THE LAST TIME I WAS LUCKY ENOUGH TO SELL ONE OF THESE. I CALLED HIM AT HIS HOME HERE IN NEW ORLEANS AND, EVEN THOUGH HE DIDN'T KNOW ME, HE WAS VERY NICE. WE TALKED AT LENGTH ABOUT THE RECORDING OF THIS RECORD. HE GAVE ME HIS PERSONAL ASSURANCE THAT THIS LABEL STATING "3 GHOULS" IS THE ORIGINAL 1959 1st PRESSING.
Morgus was a television personality in new orleans. He was a macabre figure who did "experiments" in the attic of the local ice house. Along with his assistant chopsley, Morgus entertained both children and adults in the nola area for many years. In 1959 he got togethet with the 3 ghouls to cut this track. Those musically talented ghouls just happened to be non other than Dr. John, Frankie Ford and Jerry Byrne. This is a great halloween / rockabilly collectible with a really nice doo wop style flip. The 45 is play graded vg++. It is in eccellent condition. See pics for labels.
