UBER RARE CROSSOVER NORTHERN SOUL b/w THE DEEP FUNK VERSION!!!!
ROOSEVELT MATTHEWS WITH BILLY BALL & THE UPSETTERS - YOU GOT ME DIGGIN' YOU / TIGHTEN UP - KING 6173
One I've had in my box since I was 18 having found it unloved in the back of a box full of C&W 45s in our local record shop and wow what a record. Two great sides; 'YGMDY' is just fantastic Crossover SOUL! One I've shed a few tears too. Heartbreak, lost love and misery set to a Soulful beat whilst 'TU' is beloved by all Deep Funk collectors and dancers as THE version of Archies clasic toon and sampled by just about everyone.
The disc does have a dishwarp (see the attached video link) but otherwise plays fine.
Condition is VG++ (All 45s graded conservatively)
