Description
This is a great original pressing of the extremely RARE Northern Soul dance classic, "Breakaway", by Toni Basil. As far as I know, this was her first single. It is on A&M 791, and is an original white-label promo. The A-side is the Motown-soundalike, "Breakaway", which was written and produced by Ed Cobb. The B-side is my personal favorite; the moody, self-indulgent, "I'm 28", written by Graham Gouldman, and produced by Cobb. Visually, the record and labels are in VG++/Near Mint condition and looks like it has had little use. The disc is shiny with only the lightest of marks. The label is white and despite a couple of minor smudges, is very clean. Audibly, it plays loud on both sides, but has some noise/distortion (mainly in the highs). Still, a very nice copy of this very RARE disc. Buyer pays shipping. Seller must receive payment within 3 days of auction's close. Happy bidding and good luck.
