Description

Rare original first press of Blue Note 1550 by Hank Mobley. Allstar backing lineup by Art Farmer, Horace Silver, Doug Watkins and Art Blakey. Deep groove mono press. 47 W 63rd New York address. RVG and ear in dead wax and flat edge. This copy is what it is and is a filler copy that has lived well in my collection. I have played this record on 3 setups and all times played through without skipping. I played this last at my friends house on an excellent mono setup with a very nice mono cartridge and the play grade improved considerably in my opinion from my normal home stereo setup. This is your chance to own a truly rare, valuable and sought after album that brings over 1k-2k in nice condition. Please look at all photos. Any questions, please ask.
Cover is in G/Poor condition. Theres writing, small tears, taped all over and appears to have been cut down and put back together (not by me!) Laying it on other Blue Note lp covers it is smaller from someones trimming. 
Vinyl is G to G+ visually. Play grade on my average home stereo is G+. Play grade on my friends mono setup is VG- or slightly better. Definitely improves sound quality on nicer systems. Still definitely enjoyable for what it is. There is a few little white specks on side 1 that did not clean off on an Ultrasonic and VPI clean.
