We have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office.Overseas mail to some countries (Italy, Russia, France, in particular) has become very slow. Opening a dispute for slow mail is unacceptable and will result in blocking the bidder. We work hard to provide excellent service as is represented by our 8000 plus positive feedback.   We use a VPI machine and thoroughly clean all records. Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of 3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers for safe delivery.   We take Customer Service seriously, and want you to be satisfied. One of the most sought rarities of the genre....the RAVE ON MERCYFUL FATE ALBUM

For then came Denmark’s Mercyful Fate, and one Kim Bendix Petersen, otherwise known as vocalist/composer and dedicated Satanist "King Diamond". One of the more unique characters to ever exist in the world of the heavy rock scene... this enigmatic persona wrote complex and heady compositions that were lyrically personal in their embracing of the unknown, as well as adorning his face with greasepaint featuring an inverted cross right in the middle of his forehead. Add to this a debut featuring a cartoon-ish but effective sketch of a nubile girl being crucified while hooded beings look on for it’s sleeve illustration, and Mercyful Fate simply could not be ignored or easily explained away. What is equally inexplicable is how the band’s compositions already had lengthy and fully formed personalities for a debut, as if they’d taken the Goth and grandeur of Black Sabbath's 1st Lp opus into more mysterious uncharted waters. Thus tracks like “Doomed By The Living Dead” and “Corpse With No Soul” are marked by shifting tempos, ominous riffs, ripping guitar wails, and above it all, Diamond’s acrobatic voice, capable of both high pitched falsetto wails and gutteral deep growls, with both ends of his range being arrived at with striking (apparent) ease. And as for the subtle “Nuns Have No Fun,” what can be said about a song armed with an unforgettable riff and lyrics about a Satanist tormenting ladies of the cloth?

Simply put, this record was easily the most notorious and sought after release of its day, and still maintains it’s enigmatic reputation today. Limited in it’s initial pressing, it was quickly sold out. Advised it is going around the $100 mark in clean shape, IF you can find it. We haven't seen a spare copy in years...Interesting enough, this is the best of the band’s early work and the next two years will see this band carve their names in metal’s textbooks eternally with their first two full length albums.

We witness this band back in these days and the singer announces to the gathering of watchers; "Do you want heavy? -- I said, DO YOU WANT HEAVY?? -- (gutteral voice:) Then we'll give you heavy" -> immediately breaking into a wall-of-sound power grind....

The vinyl: Very nice over both sides, "EX" (excellent) and plays amazingly well with no audio problems ... excellent...
