Description

Here is a very rare vintage album from my collection offered up for sale:  The Grateful Dead's 1st album "The Grateful Dead", their 1967 debut album and a first pressing! Released in 1967 on Warner Brothers  W-1689 Monaural, has the vintage gold labels.  Deadwax reads: side one 9233 1A W-1689A, side two 9234 1A W-1689B, cool! The vinyl rates VG+, is clean and glossy, has a few light marks, nothing heavy, no signs of heavy wear. Has been PLAY TESTED and plays from start to finish with excellent sound quality, minimal surface noise, no skips, no jumps, a VERY enjoyable listen! The cool cover rates VG+, is clean, has good color, has some edge wear and light corner wear but is solid, binder edge is readable, partial split at bottom seam has been neatly repaired with non-yellowing tape, has tiny pen initials at top, a bit of yellowing at back opening, no drill holes or cut-outs, a decent looking 47 year old cover!
