Description
Excellent copy of 1963 stereo release of the soundtrack to the movie 'Bye Bye Birdie,' which starred Ann-Margaret, Bobby Rydell, Jesse Pearson, Janet Leigh, Dick Van Dyke and Maureen Stapleton.
This release is referred to as a reissue because the original cover did not feature the sexy shot of Ann-Margaret, which they soon learned was to become the iconic image for the movie, requring the sleeve to be updated to this cover.
Record and sleeve are VG or better, with thicker cardboard than modern sleeves & still in original shrink wrap (which should be removed) so there was less wear on the shelf. Also includes original blue paper RCA Victor inner sleeve.
1963 release is 'LIVING STEREO.' Picture sleeve is in opened shrink wrap that has pulled back slightly from open edge; the white cover shows a bit of tanning on the open edge where the paper has been exposed to light and air.
