I have a number of different BBC albums. They have been sitting in my basement for years. Came form a former FM station that changed format here.

This is the system I used for listening. Please understand that when referencing my comments. This is a very audiophile set-up.
I chose my friend that had this for a reason.  I do not have access to this system so please do not ask me to listen to this or that. It took me a month to schedule this listening session.

With that I heard everything that you may or may not. I am going to give my best impression and honesty in my comments. I have been doing live and studio work for over 40 years so I feel I do have a bit of reference when I talk about these recordings. I really want everyone to be happy with their purchase. I am not a record appraiser nor is there one in our town. There some used record dealers that I consulted with on these.

In taking these around to the local record shops most seem to be in agreement that they are in excellent condition.  No one is actually an appraiser so whether they are mint, near mint, vg++ everyone seemed to say they were all quite nice. Some even referred to "rainbow sheen" they have. I guess that is a good thing. In talking with them we all seem to be in agreement that it is difficult to see if there is tracking wear or just the way they were made when pressed.  I will comment as needed.  I took notes when we played them and we went over spots more than once to double check our ears.
 
Some general comments as I listened to them again.
They do vary in sound. What I mean is I do not think they were all done in the same room. I could be wrong thou.
 Natural ambiance and room tone seem to vary. It is not good or bad just my hearing observation. That could be due to choice of microphones,
placement and engineer. You have noise but I believe most room and tape. They are live. The drum mixes very from band to band. On some what I thought was a scratch was actually the sound of the kick drum pedal itself as it was being played. Old Ludwig pedals could make a bit of a squeak when played.

Tried to photograph as well as possible. Records are actually quite hard to photograph.

WISHBONE ASH 1972:

This album seems very clean. There is virtually no spindle wear on the hole.  Side 1 on "Time Was" there is some extra noise at the open. Small other surface scratches but when played it was not audible. There is a white dot of something on Side 1 that did not come off with the record duster. See photo. They appear on a couple other albums and am not sure what it is. I have not tried to remove it. I will leave that up to you or someone with better knowledge about how to do it. Side 2 was good a few light surface scratches but not audible.
There were less than 100 of these made.
Original cue sheets on this one not quite as good as the others. Some wrinkles, small tears. 

I will wrap these very well and use record shipping cases.

I have recently had some buyers who purchased gear that they did not understand what it did and then gave me a negative without any communication.
That is not what I want to happen here.
