Description
ONE OF THE MOST TREASURED 45's IN THE HISTORY OF ROCK 'N' ROLL!! This record is often priced at over $1,000 and sometimes over $2,000. Here's a NO RESERVE auction where you can get it for less! I found this record, as well as the other Sun Records 45's I'm listing, when I was cleaning my mother's house after she moved to a retirement home. She is now 80, but back in the 1950's -- when these records were released -- she was a big fan of Elvis Presley and Johnny Cash. Here's hoping her collection helps me make one more mortgage payment, thus keeping foreclosure at bay.
I am offering for sale an original #223 Sun Records 45 rpm 7" vinyl record. The artist is Elvis Presley. The songs are "Mystery Train" and "I Forgot To Remember To Forget." Both sides have significant surface scratches, which is normal for a record from the 50s, but both sides played through on my turntable with no jumps, skips or pops. There are NO cracks or deep scratches on the record, but be advised there is substantial background noise so if you want a pristine copy of the record to make a digital copy (CD) from, you'd best keep looking. Just calling it like I see it (or hear it). The inside circle has some damage from someone using, or possibly misusing, a 45 adaptor. See pictures for condition of labels. The side with "I Forgot To Remember To Forget" has a small sticker with the number "14" on it. The "Mystery Train" side has a small dark ink blob on the y and s of "Mystery" (see pictures of the actual record I'm selling). Etched in the area between the label and the playing portion on the "Mystery Train" side are the record label release number of 45-U-156X and a triangle followed by the numbers 5498. On the "I Forgot To Remember to Forget" side the release number of 45-U-157X is etched in along with a triangle followed by the numbers 5499.
This is a highly collectible part of rock n roll & rockabilly history that often sells for hundreds or thousands of dollars. I'VE SEEN THIS RECORD PRICED AT MORE THAN TWO THOUSAND DOLLARS!! Here's your chance to get in on the bidding on a no reserve auction that could save you a bundle.
Payment via Paypal expected within 48 hours of close of auction. Shipping charge to your U.S. address will be $3.50. Additional records purchased at the same time will be half price shipping ($1.75) -- wait for my revised invoice.
