"One Night Stand" radio show transcription disc record issued by The Armed Forces Radio & Television Service.  Two complete 25 minute radio programs on this 12 inch, vinyl, 33 1/3 rpm disc.  This disc was issued to Armed Forces Radio Service stations for broadcast only and not available to the general public, very rare! 

"One Night Stand" radio program #6228 starring Oscar Peterson with The Oscar Peterson Trio from The London House in Downtown Chicago, IL.  Songs include "Laurentide Waltz", "Place St. Henri", "The Land Of The Misty Giants", "Blues Of The Prairie", "Hallelujah Time".  The last song is cut off by the program's closing announcements. Fantastic live piano!  There is some occasional crowd noise which makes this live performance very interesting!  25 minutes

"One Night Stand" radio program #6229 starring Vincent Lopez from The Grill Room of The Hotel Taft in Time's Square, New York City.  Songs include "Pennsylvania Polka", "Does Your Heart Beat For Me", "Malaguena", "The African Beat", "She Loves You" vocal Lou Lindholm?, "Sentimental Over You", "Cha Cha", "The Girl From Epanema" vocal Karen Lee, "That's A Plenty".  The last song is cut off by the program's closing announcements.  25 minutes

I could not find any reference to any existing copy of the Oscar Peterson program, and the program is not listed in the Oscar Peterson discography at jazzdisco.org

There is no date on the disc, however my best guess of the possible date is 1964.  1962 is hand written on the Vincent Lopez label, however the song "She Loves You" wasn't released by The Beatles until September of 1963.  Also, I believe the Oscar Peterson Trio material first appeared on his "Canada Suite" LP which I believe was released in 1964.  Also, I believe the white AFRTS Label on this disc was in use during the mid 1960's.  Please note this is just my best guess of a possible date, and may not be correct.

Disc is in Excellent- Condition with Excellent- Sound with some occasional light surface noise, Beautiful Disc!
