Description

Rare compilation of old Goldwax Records Ovations cuts, put together by Vivid Sound in Japan in 1977. This hasn't been reissued, sadly, nor is it available on CD. Usually, too, it's only on sale from Japan--with heavy shipping costs. This is all such a pity, because it's a great listen! Lots of perfect southern soul numbers, produced by Quinton M. Claunch and Rudolph V. Russell out of Memphis. This record grades VG+ to NM; it was rarely played, only one owner, and sounds awesome. Jacket looks great too--see pics. As is usually the case with Japanese compilations and reissues like this, an English lyric sheet is helpfully included.
