Description
This auction is for a rare soundtrack LP from the 1959 movie "Pillow Talk" starring Rock Hudson and Doris Day. The cardboard record cover looks like a pink, satin pillow. There is a Pull Tab sleeve that goes around the record and pulls it out of the cover. The record features words and music from the movie and is only pressed on one side.
This album was a promotion for the movie and only given to VIPs. The label on the record reads "Selections from the sound track of "Pillow Talk" - This special recording is personally for you." and the sleeve refers to "the picture that will soon be the Talk of the Nation." Doris Day says on the record that the movie will soon be coming your way.
LP Microgroove - 33 1/3 RPM - U-I DCLA-1316. The cover is in good condition. One edge of it is curled a bit. The pull tab sleeve is creased where it sticks out of the cover. The record itself appears to be in good condition with a couple of rubbing marks from the unique record sleeve.
