VERY RARE 1971 Private Press vinyl of a crazy looking hippie electric rock collectible with a sound much like the first '69 SANTANA album....featuring the straight sounds of the band: organ, guitar, bongos as lead instruments ... no additives.
Seldom ever (if ever) seen, total mystery science head-scratcher from presumably Florida...
UTOPIA must have been listening to the first SANTANA and thrilled with the sound in replicating with their own styles and includes a mix of up tempo rockers and moody grooves with heavy handed gushy organ throughout ... highlights include "I Want To See" with its cool groove and fuzzed guitar, "Life Ain't Easy" with wah-wah guitar break, and "Primo Bongo" with strong bongos & extended sizzling guitar leads that engulf the track, overall sounding like a dead ringer in style off the first 1969 "Santana" Lp -- wailing guitar led over heated rhythms...
A well known internet mail order service has this album selling for $580 which attests to its rarity and collectibility....
