BLACK AWARENESS

The first of the this two originals  was written in tribute to Byron's father .The tune was written for his 53rd birthday in 1969.This track has a strong feelings.The "talking instruments "reveal the necessity of rapping together .Two or more musicians rhythmically sandwiching quick cords together produced this musical conversation.The dynamics of this tune seem to indicate a warmth ,a love, a force, even a power that culminates in the central theme of a unified society.

"Black awareness" is also an original work .This hard-driving,soul-searching piece addresses three main themes ,the obscuruty of culture ,a cultural awakening  and the final awarenee of a viable ,fully developed culture .

Grading is visual only unless otherwise stated.

  • M : Sealed or New record
  • NM: a record which, though it may have been played now and then, is in excellent visual condition with no visible flaws. Flawless.
  • VG++: a record which is not far from NM but may have a some light slight scuffs or marks.
  • VG+: a record which has few noticeable surface scratches. Still plays well and still a good playing copy.
  • VG : more than a few scratches or marks and/or a predominant scratch that runs across several tracks. the record may pop and there may be hiss or some crackles but it is presumed to still provide a good listen
