Description
VERY RARE! PINK FLOYD "A SAUCERFUL OF SECRETS" United Kingdom LIMITED EDITION MONO LP pressing of 1968 release on ICY-BLUE-COLORED Vinyl!!! Columbia Records (SX-6258), 1990s. Still in shrink wrap (though not sealed)! Exceptionally creative cover art design that effectively marries art graphics with photographic imagery.
A virtually forgotten gem, "A Saucerful of Secrets" was the first post-Syd Barrett LP by Pink Floyd, which understandably found the band reaching for new identity in the wake of their ingenious former leader and founder's forced departure. However, this LP has remarkable attributes and serves as an essential step in the band's advancement toward the classic "Meddle" sound and then their arrival on "The Dark Side of the Moon."
Included are some superb songs, such as Syd Barrett's whimsical "Jugband Blues," as well as Richard Wright's dreamy retrospective "Remember a Day," and Roger Waters' sci-fi epic, "Set the Controls for the Heart of the Sun."
MINT Vinyl!!! MINT- Cover!!! The shrink wrap has black felt pen writing that reads "Colored Vinyl, Mono." The writing is ON the shrink wrap and does not hinder at all the actual cover. In fact, the felt marking can easily be removed.
And remember: When you buy from me, you are buying the VERY best!
