RARE and STILL IN SHRINK WRAP (though not sealed). NEVER PLAYED!!! PINK FLOYD "WISH YOU WERE HERE" Terrific LIMITED EDITION Radio Airplay Promo LP; 1985; CBS/SONY/Capital Records (30AP 1875-01). Released in two versions: Black vinyl LP and picture disc. The one for sale here is the black vinyl version, which is actually more scarce than the picture disc.
To many, "Wish You Were Here" is Pink Floyd's most concise and finest hour. Entirely inspired by the emotional and psychological descent of Syd Barrett--former Pink Floyd founder, leader, and hero to Roger Waters and David Gilmour--"Wish You Were Here" is a beautifully structured lament of a tortured gifted soul. It's undercurrent of fallen angel heroism is implicitly defined by Roger Water's lyrical expressions, which are sealed over by David Gilmour's mournfully cradled guitar lines.
