Original 1968 white label promo 45 on Reprise Records (R-0817) — a Bizarre Production conceived, produced, and conducted by Frank Zappa. This is the infamous outsider single by Wild Man Fischer, whose raw street-corner vocals and manic energy made him a cult figure of the late-’60s L.A. freak scene.

• Label: Reprise Records – A Division of Warner Bros.
• Matrix numbers: 6286 / 6287-B hand-etched in the dead wax.
• Issued as DJ PROMO ONLY — never commercially released.
Produced and arranged by Frank Zappa for his short-lived Bizarre Productions imprint, which also shepherded early Mothers of Invention and Captain Beefheart material. This single predates Fischer’s legendary LP An Evening With Wild Man Fischer and captures the unfiltered chaos that fascinated Zappa enough to put him on wax.
Condition: (well-worn) — label has significant water staining but text remains visible. Plays through with typical surface noise for a promo survivor.
From the private collection of a legendary Detroit crate-digger and one-time DJ, this copy shows his trademark preservation touches — light etching and protective tape residue — adding provenance to “a piece of rock history from an epic collection of rare 45’s, filled with dj copies and promos of early northern soul, doo-woo, rockabilly, detroit garage and psyche rock.”
