Description
This record was issued by British Columbia in 1936 to commemorate the maiden voyage of the legendary Cunard liner 'Queen Mary' and features Henry Hall and the BBC Dance Orchestra - who provided the music on the maiden voyage - playing the Queen Mary's signature tune 'Somewhere At Sea' backed with 'The Glory Of Love' on Columbia FB1409. This commemorative issue features on side 1 a specially-commissioned label showing the Queen Mary - side 2 has a normal magenta Columbia label. It's on Columbia DB1409. CONDITION: E+, unfortunately at some stage a sticker had been affixed to the label of side 1 and some of the gold printing has lifted (but not torn the label).
