Description
This 10in. record represents some historical significance - Recorded in the 40's it deals with a political speech by DAME ENID LYONS, GBE. MP.
Recorded at the 7EX Radio Station, Launceston Tasmania - believed to be an Acetate recording (although the labels show the word Acetate crossed out).
One side is " A Liberal Plan for Social Services" and the other "Homes for the People"-both about 5 minutes. The condition of the record is fairly good; one side has a slight mark which causes a "click" for about 2 minutes at the beginning- its progress is not impaired.
THE AUDIBILTY on both sides is very good, has slight background noise but all words are quite clear.; "The Homes for People" side has two hiccups nearing the end of the speech - they do cause repetition and need manual adjustment (or cleaning?).
The record plays from the inside out. The speeches deals with affordibility of homes, budgets, child endowment and mentions Menzies, Chifley.
