Description
Here's the rare white label DJ (sample copy not for sale) of the El Pollos 45 on Neptune. It's a strong vg+ with some light marks but plays quite surprisingly well ... even most great stock copies don't play very well. Labels clean, no stickers, writing, or tears. Cuts are Why Treat Me This Way b/w School Girl. Deadwax matrix numbers are 003 and 002 on the flipside. Only the second DJ copy I've ever seen.
They were a Cleveland r&b group that drove to NYC in 1958 to record for the Neptune record label on Prince St., in Newark. Their only other record in the same year was on the Studio label and is also very rare. (check out the record on YouTube under El Pollos Why Treat Me this Way)
Every record I sell is 100% Guaranteed Original! No boots, repros, or polished records. All from an old and well cared for East Coast collection.
Please bid with confidence, I've been collecting R&B records since 1966.
