Description
ALBUM DESCRIPTION: This is a rare 1963 first pressing vinyl Decca Records stereo LP entitled " Loretta Lynn Sings " (DL 74457). This was Loretta's first Decca LP and peaked at #2 on the Billboard Album charts. This amazing album contains twelve (12) tracks including 4 singles that Loretta had released from 1961-1963: " The Girl That I Am Now ", " Success ", " World Of Forgotten People " and " The Other Woman ". The back cover features liner notes by Teddy Wilburn of The Wilburn Brothers. We consider this LP to be in serious Collector Condition. This LP lists in teh 6th Edition of Goldmine Album Price Guide at $50 IF in NM condition. See condition ratings for this specific LP below.
VINYL CONDITION: This vinyl is in very clean condition including the labels. There are a few very superficial (non-feelable) scratches/scuffs noted. We have fully test played the entire record and found the playback to be just splendid (no surface noise noted). We rate the vinyl's condition as Excellent Plus (EX+). Included is the very nice original red and black Decca inner sleeve (has a taped edge slit at bottom center).
JACKET CONDITION: The outer jacket looks as if it just came out of opened shrink wrap. Ot has vibrant color on the cover, very crisp seams including perfectly legible spine (NO splits) and sharp corners (NO softening). The back cover is very clean and still has affixed at bottom right a faded sticker with a past owner/collector name indicating once property of that person. We rate the condtion of this outer jacket as Near Mint (NM). A new poly slip-on outer sleeve is included to help protect this 55 year old gem for many years toi come !
The vinyl within the inner sleeve will be separated from outer jacket. A heavy duty LP record mailer will be used with inserts and ample bubble wrap. Never a packing charge.
