Description
Robert Johnson, Robert Johnson (Kokomo K-1000) (1967).
An original first pressing (matrices JEF TD 5783 A/B), from a limited edition of 99 copies, of this first release on a small UK specialist blues label, founded by the Manchester-area collectors Trev Huyton and Ted Griffiths. This was one of the first, if not the first, of several unofficial reissues of then unavailable Robert Johnson recordings.

In the original plain white card jacket, with accompanying paperwork consisting of a tracklisting with matrix/take data; a trailer for the next Kokomo release, A Blues Potpourri; and a copy of Highway 51 Newssheet I, publicising releases on the companion Highway 51 label.
Condition: disc excellent, with no visible wear or damage. Jacket clean and, apart from slight bumping at a couple of corners, undamaged. Paperwork uncreased, unmarked and only minimally tanned at edges. A very good copy of this rare early Robert Johnson reissue.
