Rudy Owen with the Ravens " Pretty Linda / The Cry Of The Raven ". Startime 3287 1961. Rare Rockabilly. NOTE: This record is autographed by both Rudy Owens and the Ravens and an additonal signature (not sure who he is) on the A side label. (See my photos). From his Facebook page:" Pretty Linda is a song that I wrote and recorded while a Sophomore at McMurry College in Abilene, Tx. The band, The Ravens, were three college friends. We were rehearsing one afternoon in our dorm room when Joe started playing the lead guitar beat and I told him to keep playing and I would write a song. I wrote the song in about 20 minutes and we recorded it about 2 months later. We were fortunate to have nice radio play, Billboard Magazine mention and pick status. Those were some fun days. ". NOTE: You can hear this record on YouTube. The record is mostly nice. Shiny bright and plays well. There is a tiny blister in the same spot on both sides. A faint scuff or two. The labels are good.
