Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of 3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers for safe delivery.   We take Customer Service seriously, and want you to be satisfied. On the same label as BOB SMITH's "The Visit" as probably as scarce...

Original 1969 first pressing in thick gatefold cover. Always been hard to find as there were not many copies released. The underground hard-rock band mixes strong hard blues into their sound with ripping guitar leads all over the place. Should well appeal to fans of the hardrock/blues style as well as followers of both Mama Lion and Heavy Cruiser, both with a connection to this "Merryweather" group...

After his exit from the band “Merryweather”, Neil Merryweather and his manager flew to Toronto Canada where Neil found his new band members. He recruited Robin Boers as drummer. Robin was in the legendary Toronto garage band “Ugly Ducklings”, that released one album - a monster rated collectible. For guitarist, he chose John Richardson who had played with the “Lords of London” and “Nucleus”, two popular bands on the Toronto scene. Neil and Morey Alexander flew them back to LA.

The “Merryweather, Richardson & Boers” album was recorded for Kent Records as a one-off deal to raise money to support the band, with the advance being used to rent a house to live and rehearse in. The LP was recorded in one night at Paramount Studios. Neil wrote the songs on the fly, they did a couple of cover songs, and it was done in about four hours. It was quickly mixed at Village Recorders.

Neil brought Jack Velker into the crew to play organ. He was a member of a Canadian band called the “49th Parallel” that disbanded in LA.

“Merryweather, Richardson & Boers” added Neil’s girlfriend, Lynn Carey, to the band for some more recordings at Kent Studios. They did covers of “Shop Around” and “Lucille” with Neil and Lynn singing a two-part harmony.

Though Merryweather had started to attract something of a following in late 1969, ironically, the group played probably its best-received show on the day it broke up, October 12. On the day in question, Merryweather had travelled down the coast to perform at the Balboa Stadium in San Diego on a bill that also featured Country Joe & The Fish, Poco and Chicago. According to fans in attendance, Merryweather pretty much stole the show. "It was probably our biggest success and we were at least second on the bill," he recalls. "The crowd was already pumped up for us.

Credited to Merryweather, Richardson and Boers, their only album includes excellent material, most notably, the Merryweather, Richardson and Boers collaboration, "Flat Black", Merryweather and girlfriend Lynn (Mama Lion) Carey's "You Must Live It" and Merryweather's "Aren't You Glad That You Know". There's plenty of strong guitar work and the album should well appeal to fans of underground hardrock and...the Mama Lion band from the early '70s

Very few copies of the album appeared to have been pressed and soon afterwards, Merryweather abandoned the project to look for new musical partners.
