We have been selling on EBay for a relatively short time and have had a lot of fun!  During that time we have playfully referred to ourselves as “The Toy Rescuers”.  We realized we are actually “Movie Memorabilia Rescuers” because almost all of the toys we have “rescued” and sold, from “Shirley Temple” dolls to “Star Wars” action figures, have been toys manufactured because of a great Film, Director, Actor, Singer, etc.  We recently came upon what we consider to be one of the greatest Movie Memorabilia collections ever at an Estate Sale.  Tony Andriacchi was a great singer in Chicago with a love for great films and Barbra Streisand.  He was the President of the “Barbra-bilia” fan club and the Editor in Chief of the “Barbra-bilia” Fan Magazine. One half of this team understands perfectly, as I grew up in a musical home listening to Ms. Streisand.  Mr. Andriacchi’s collection of “Barbra-bilia” is like no other in my opinion, and we now have a great deal of his Chicago store inventory and private collection, hopefully to carefully and lovingly get each piece to its proper new home.  This rare promotional LP is one of those very special finds we are excited to offer you. 

On a Clear Day You Can See Forever is a 1970 musical/romantic fantasy film directed by Vincente Minnelli. The screenplay by Alan Jay Lerner is adapted from his book for the 1965 stage production of the same name. The songs feature lyrics by Lerner and music by Burton Lane.  The soundtrack for the film is considered one of Ms. Streisand's greatest, and my personal favorite.  I was thrilled when we came upon this promotional album, which contains material I had never heard before.  An album containing alternate tracks from the "On a Clear Day" Soundtrack was produced by Chappell Music (Publishers of the Lerner and Lane score) and distributed at industry functions prior to the film’s release to publicize it.  The alternate soundtrack was also pressed on Arise Records for promotional distribution.  In it, there is an alternate vocal for Ms. Streisand's classis "Hurry, It's Lovely Up Here" and an alternate orchestration for "On a Clear Day" with background vocals that were later eliminated for the film's soundtrack.  In addition, there is a version of "Love with All the Trimmings" and "What Did I Have" that are not on the soundtrack, as well as the tracks "Wait 'Til We're 65" and "Who is There Among Us" that were eliminated from the soundtrack entirely but can be heard on this rare promotional album.  We feel lucky to have it and you will too.  This album is presumably in mint condition as it is sealed.
