Description

In the 1950's MGM moved successfully into the rock and roll era with many hit records by Connie Francis & Joni James . The following are each of their first albums recorded on the MGM Label:

JONI JAMES  -  Let There Be Love (1956) – (MGM-E3348)                                                      Let There Be Love is Joni James Debut album, originally recorded as a 10" album in 1953. In 1956 the album was reissued with the same cover artwork as a 12-inch L.P. The album for sale here is the first 12" LP issue. This album was hand signed in person by Joni James while I was in her presence back-stage after a concert in the early 1990's.

CONNIE FRANCIS - Who's Sorry Now (1958) - (MGM -E3686)                                         Who's Sorry Now? became Connie's first huge hit issued as a single in 1957. As a result, MGM record label released her first album with the same name in April 1958. It was also reissued in 1962 with a different cover. The album for sale here is the original issue cover and the reissued vinyl album. This album was hand signed in person by Connie Francis while I was in her presence back-stage after a concert in September 1990. The tickets to that concert are included in the jacket of the album.
