Original 1958 UK Issue of this classic Jazz album that introduces Lateef. There are some obvious Eastern influences, but the foundations are set solidly in the Jazz traditions. Original light brown grooved label.

Record-EX/EX+ This record has survived in wonderful condition, there is a lovely deep gloss to both side and it has clearly seen limited playing. There are a couple of inconspicous light marks in places nothing that can be felt and a couple of light very faint hairline marks with a couple of very small inner sleeve marks. A very nice example.
I have listened to the record through from beginning to end and it played fantastically well, therre was some occasional background noise but this was very light and non intrusive and only really showed up in a couple of quiet sections run ins and outs, but even this was very minimal. There were a couple of very light pops/ticks that were barely noticed also but there was nothing that distracted from the audio heavily. An absolute wonderful example that was incredibly clear with barely any audio inpurities. This record I am guessing has been left unplayed for many years and it plays beautifully clear currently. I expect that a professional clean will enhance the sound even more. Audio grade matches the visual EX/EX+.
Sleeve-VG/VG+ Original full laminate sleeve is complete and has survive quite well there are some light marks in places with some mild scuffs and wear noticeable front and back. There is some ring wear present more prominent on the front. There are some light handling marks and minimal wear. The front opening edge has some light wear to the centre here a small closed tear has been restored neatly, there are a couple of small nibbles in this area with some light laminate loss to the same area. The edges are lightly rubbed and the corners have some minimal marks and storage wear too. The spine is nicely intact and perfectly legible. There is some light toning and minimal discolouration but nothing too heavy. On the whole this is a solid sleeve that has wear present but it still presents well. Happily falls between the two grades above.
