This limited edition of STARART (edited and also signed by Debby Chesher), an art coffee-table book that was published in 1979, is infamously hard to find. THERE WERE ONLY 300 OF THE LEATHER BOUND AND HAND-SIGNED AUTOGRAPHED EDITION PUBLISHED!! (This particular book is #46 of 300). If you do happen to see this book for sale, it is usually the black and white edition with the dust jacket. Even if it has the stock picture as the Burgundy leather bound edition, it is still usually the black and white one. TO MY KNOWLEDGE AND AS OF TODAY, THIS IS CURRENTLY THE ONLY ONE ONLINE THAT IS HAND SIGNED BY JONI MITCHELL et. al.,THAT IS UP FOR SALE! If you are a Joni fan (whether of her amazing art or timeless music), this is an absolute must-have! This is undoubtedly a true collector's piece, and it is over 40 years old to boot! The book itself is in perfect/pristine condition (no bent/marked/highlighted pages--well taken care of throughout the years); and the bookcase has a few barely noticeable small marks. Joni is the first artist featured in the book, and 40 pages are devoted to her art--too many to feature here! Signatures include RONNIE WOOD (of THE ROLLING STONES); JOHN MAYALL; KLAUS VOORMANN; COMMANDER CODY and CAT STEVENS (who converted to the Muslim faith while the book was being published, and is the only one who did not sign--though there is an original card insert that states this) are also featured with their artwork.
