Description

Here is a nice copy of a very collectible single by Art Wheeler and the Revels: "The Rub" b/w "Charlena" (Million-Air Records 7777). This is a 1965 Los Angeles R&B Northern Soul dancer from the man who gave the Northern Soul collector that fabulous classic style dancer 45 on Cee Jam "That’s Why I Love You." This so-much rarer 45 pre-dates that highly regarded 45 by a year. Art Wheeler met the surf/instrumental band The Revels (famous for the minor hit "Church Key" and whose version of "Comanche" ended up in the Quentin Tarantino film Pulp Fiction) when both were recording for the Swingin' Records label.

This record is in EX condition. A red X marks the B side, which is written by Manuel Chavez, from The Jaguars. The A side, "The Rub," is written by P.J. McCabe.
