Description

This is a rare Frank Zappa related surf single, by Brian Lord and the Midnighters: "The Big Surfer" b/w "Not Another One!" (Capitol 4981). Released in 1963, a few years before Zappa formed the Mothers of Invention. Zappa wrote the A side, and co-produced it with his one-time Cucamonga collaborator, Paul Buff. It's very much in the novelty style typical of early Zappa records (such as "Dear Jeepers"). Strange John F. Kennedy parody, to boot. Buff co-wrote and co-produced the B side with Dave Aerni.

The record in VG condition. Label wear and scuffs, but nice gloss. Plays strong through high end distortion.
