Ultra rare test pressing/promo single from Anita Hegerland and Mike Oldfield from 1986. Mike wrote both tracks, produced it and plays most of the instruments.
Very good condition, some slight background noise in places but no scratches. The record has a very slight warp which does NOT affect the playback, please see last photo and this video https://youtu.be/E-kwrmaOxNg?feature=shared
Hardly worth mentioning but I like to be accurate with my descriptions.
The person I bought it from was a former Virgin Records employee and this is what he told me: Mike and Anita were together at the time and Anita was massive in Scandinavia and Mike was big in Germany and Scandinavia. Virgin wanted to commission a single as it was hoped it would be a massive seller. Mike recorded the backing track for Dance To The North Star and used the previous Moonlight Shadow backing track and brought them to Polar Studios (ABBA's studio) in Sweden where Anita added the vocals for both tracks. It was pressed at a German record plant (the copyright on the record is in English and German). A handful of these were manufactured (3 are known of, but it's thought that there may have been between 5 and 10 made) and 1 was given to Mike Oldfield and the rest to Virgin Records executives. Mike was not happy with the finished product and the tracks were shelved.
This is the only copy to appear for sale in public as far as I'm aware.
