Description
This is an original 1st UK vinyl pressing of the 1971 Beatles compilation album - Hey Jude. This one nicely picks up all the later B sides and singles that didnt appear on any of the albums - any other band in the 60s would have been glad to just have written one of the B sides....but then this is The Beatles On Apple Records Ref CPCS 106, Stereo Matrices are: Side 1: YEEX 150-1 with 'AR' stamped at 2 o cluck and '3' stamped at 8 o clock Side 2: YEEX 151-1 with 'AG' stamped at 9 o clock and '3' stamped at 3 o clock The Record is an EX+ , only the very lightest of surface marks which you have to search hard for under natural light. Labels are clean, free from any marks and have only minimal spindle wear when turned to the light Fully Test Played - at the very worst, concentrate hard and you might pick up a iny bit of background crackle, even between tracks this is pretty flawless. Gorgeous copy!! Label text shows : "Mfd. in U.K." ("An EMI Recording") "Northern Songs NCB" Inner Sleeve is Plain White - EX Outer Sleeve is fully laminated, printed in Gt Britain by Garrod & Lofthouse Ltd, again an EX+, just a few light hairline creases. Spine is nicely squared and all readable with virtually no wear. Bottom spine shows only one tiny tiny nick as shelfwear. I use the Record Collector Grading Criteria which is as follows: Mint: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as sealed or unplayed should be Mint. Excellent: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and / or creasing. Very Good: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable. Good: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration, etc.
