THE VINYL:   EXCELLENT

HAS HAIRLINES BUT NO SCUFFS AND JUST ONE NOTICEABLE SCRATCH. IT PLAYS EXTREMELY WELL. IT DOES HAVE VERY OCCASSIONAL SOFT CLICKS AND CRACKLES, BUT THESE ARE NEGLIGIBLE. NO WRITING ON THE LABELS. HAS NO SPINDLE MARKS, NO SPINDLE WEAR. NO LABEL MARKS, WRITING OR SCRATCHES.VERY CLEAN LABELS. 

 THE SLEEVE:   EXCELLENT

NO SERIOUS DAMAGE ANYWHERE, MINOR WEAR AND TEAR CENTRE OF TOP EDGE (see photo). NO CREASES.  IT IS A FANATASTIC SLEEVE. NO OTHER EDGE WEAR OR CORNER WEAR. A COUPLE OF TINY CORNER 'DINKS'. SPINE IS VERY CLEAN AND READABLE. NO REAL AGEING OF THIS 40 YEAR-OLD SLEEVE BUT IT'S NOT AS WHITE ON THE BACK AS IT ONCE WAS. NO WRITING, NO SELLOTAPE, SPLITS OR TEARS. ON THE REAR OF THE SLEEVE IT HAS 'MISPLACED OR MISPRINTED' SLEEVE NOTES AND AN INSERT WAS PRODUCED (see below)

THE INNER SLEEVE:   EXCELLENT

Plain white die-cut inner sleeve has some creasing. No splits, no edge wear or corner wear. Minor staining, no writing. Just slightly ageing.

THE INSERT:   EXCELLENT

Plain white one page insert. No splits, no edge wear / corner wear. No staining, no writing. Just slightly ageing.

THIS ONE'S 'A KEEPER'. (POSSIBLY A FINAL UPGRADE).

Grading System:  I have used Record Collector magazine set of standards for the condition of second-hand records. I have added a (+) or (-) to my gradings where applicable.

I grade all records in accordance with the Rare Record Price Guide (see above). However, if you feel I have graded your record incorrectly please email me ASAP so we can resolve the problem amicably.

RECORD COLLECTOR Grading System

MINT:   The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.  (NOTE: As far as I am concerned, MINT will never apply to second hand vinyl records).

EXCELLENT:   The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.

VERY GOOD:   The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

GOOD:   The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.

FAIR:   The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.

POOR:   The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.

BAD:   The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler.

Post & Packaging - I recycle all packaging so you will get your goods in recycled packaging / cardboard container. All items over £20 are insured and sent 'Signed For' or ‘Tracked 48’ and I always obtain a 'Certificate of Posting' for cheaper items. All items are securely and properly packaged and vinyl is sent using double corrugated cardboard stiffeners.
