For your consideration, this Rare Original South African Cast Recording LP of "The Black Mikado" is up for auction.   

The Original South African Cast Recording LP of "The Black Mikado"  The Black Mikado is based on the Stage Opera by Gilbert & Sullivan but with an unusual flair!  After The Black Mikado opened at the Cambridge Theatre in London's West End in 1975, it wasn't long before the production received a Terrific Shot of Authenticity from South Africa!  Like the OCR LP of Mister King Hongi from New Zealand that I had the honor of listing from this collection, one doesn't often look South of the Equator for Stage Musicals!  Well, hold onto your hat because this LP is Superb & Beyond Rare!  The Black Mikado opened in Soweto, Johnannesburg on May 13, 1976 and was Pressed in 1976 on RPM Records.  This LP isn't easy to find on Vinyl, is nearly Impossible to find in this condition and would be a MUST for any Collector of Original Cast LPs!  Good Luck!  Do you have this in your Collection?  No?  Well I'll tell you what~you may never see it again!

This LP (if you've been following my other LP auctions) belonged to Harvey (a theatre record/autograph collector) and has safely been stored in its Protective Plastic Cover for over three decades!  This LP, unlike many of the other LPs from this collection, is not signed, however, the Rarity of this LP should be reason enough for Theatre & Vinyl Collectors to stand up and take notice!
